Midlands car parking faciliy : A major car park, located in the midlands, has always prided itself on its well-lit, clean and safe parking facilities. However, the Facilities Manager was keen to find ways to further reduce energy costs and make the business more cost effective. Through advice from an ESB Customer Supply Key Account Manager, electrical and lighting consultants were hired to conduct a survey of his car park’s lighting energy consumption. They found that significant savings could be made by taking a few simple steps.

ESB and the Cork County Council : An independent study for ESB and the Cork County Council identified 30% savings in electricity costs when the LEC A was installed and tested on a street lighting circuit. ESB supplies electricity and maintains for Cork County street lighting. An independent consulting company performed the controlled measurement testing of power consumption and recorded the findings. Results concluded a 30.77% savings on electricity costs could be achieved.

Morges the "Energy City" likes to consider itself as being at the forefront for delivering energy savings. An initial test involving the lighting in the Grand'Rue convinced the Morges town engineering departments that they should continue to install LEC highway lighting equipment and extend it to include large public buildings.
