Power Electronics Commits to Promoting Energy Efficiency in Motor Driven Systems

The Motor Challenge Programme is a European Commission initiative to aid industrial companies in improving the energy efficiency of their electric Motor Driven Systems.  Improving the efficiency with which energy is consumed by end-users is a central theme of energy policy within the European Community.   Power Electronics’ SinuMEC - Sinusoidal Moto r Efficiency Controller - is a new category of AC motor controllers that improves efficiency of motors running at constant speeds with variable/partial load and will help the partners of the Motor Challenge Programme to reach their energy efficient goals.
